is a documentary street photography series created in Taif, Saudi Arabia, during my Umrah journey. The work focuses on everyday human presence in public spaces, moments of stillness, movement, labor, rest, and interaction, observed quietly and without staging. Rather than landmarks, the series centers on people as the true architecture of the city.
Taif revealed itself to me slowly, not through its huge, magnificent mountains, but through people. In streets softened by mountain air, I found small, unguarded moments, a glance held a second longer than expected, a body resting on top of a fence, a conversation unfolding without urgency. These moments became the foundation of Humans of Taif.
Photographed during my Umrah journey, this series is less about travel and more about presence. I approached the streets as a shared space. The camera became a tool for listening rather than claiming.
Humans of Taif is an attempt to honor the quiet dignity of everyday life and to preserve fleeting human expressions before they dissolve back into the rhythm of the street.
